1) Do these houses require any sort of foundations or platform?
NO foundations are required. These mobile homes are placed on a metal structure, and in some cases also on metal supports (legs). They can also be placed on a support system that can be adjusted so as to level the structure completely. Alternatively other items may be used to level the structure such as wood, girders etc.
2) Do these houses move with the wind?
No. Mobile homes are usually of sufficient weight to resist wind movement, in some cases weighing several tonnes.
3) What is the lifespan of these houses?
This depends very much on the care and maintenance carried out by the owner .Its lifespan is the same as a traditional construction. The materials used in construction of these mobile homes are wood, Iron (structure), aluminium, pvc and other materials resistant to adverse weather conditions and wear and tear.
4) Are the houses supplied furnished and with white goods?
Yes. These houses are supplied fully furnished, the level depending on the model selected. Basic white goods: hob, water heater, fridge, extractor fan etc are included in all models.
5) Do I have to install plumbing and electricity or are these prepared?
The homes are delivered with electrical and plumbing installations already in place, located underneath the house. A qualified plumber or electrician should however connect these to water supply, electricity, sceptic tank etc. This task is easy and should take approximately a couple of hours.
6) As these houses are on wheels and have a tow bar, how safe are they against theft?
It is only possible to move these houses on especially adapted lorries. Their weight and design of the structure prevents theft. The wheels supplied are for loading onto the specially adapted transporter, or to re-position within the confines of the plot.
7) How are the houses transported?
The houses are transported on a fully insured specially adapted lorry, holding all the legal permits for this type of loads.
8) My car is a 4 X 4. Can I take the house to my plot?
As above. Legal requirements should be fulfilled to transport this type of load. The wheels and tow bar are exclusively for use as described earlier, to position the house on a plot and to load this onto the transporter.
